ITS GO TIME!

Just a couple more weeks of long intervals then on to some speedier stuff. Which means that this week, we're looking 400 right in the eye. 400, 150, 300, 150, 200, 150. Its gonna be tough. Its gonna be long. Its gonna be dope! See you at 630 (have a light lunch).

Brimming With Pride - Chase Brooklyn Gets Happy

Four members of the Chase Brooklyn Track Club competed in the Gay Pride race yesterday morning in Central park. It was a grueling hilly five miles, but lucky for me, I came out on top! Best finisher Richelle ran 38.35, followed by Ran in 39.09. Aude ran a great time of 40.04, and your heavy weight contender, at 195lbs, split 745, 730, 805, 755, 823 for 39.33. Great race CBTC. I can't wait for the next one!

Not Rain Nor Wind Nor Sleet Nor Snow

Ok. I won't practice in sleet or snow. But we were prepared to practice in the rain and wind yesterday. Fortunately for us, the track Gods pushed the storm past sixth street before we got there. We did have to deal with a flooded track, but at least it was sunny. We had 200m to work with and boy did we work with it. 6x200 in 32ish. We weren't looking forward to it, but we're glad we did it (keep that in mind for next week).

The Tremendousness Continues - at CBTC

WOW! What an effort. Monday's workout was 3x250, 2x150, and we killed it. We didn't look this good until August last year. I can't wait to see what this team can do this coming Monday.

The Tenacious Chase Brooklyn

This club has been ravaged by vacation, injury, work, fat, depression, babies, laziness, age and holidays - yet we persist. Track and Field doesn't have the cache of other sports- yet we press on. Sprinting hurts - yet we persevere.

This week's athletes of the week are Noelle and Theo. They had a tremendous workout and showed me why we keep doing this.

Keep wait to see you guys on Monday!
