The Tremendousness Continues - at CBTC

WOW! What an effort. Monday's workout was 3x250, 2x150, and we killed it. We didn't look this good until August last year. I can't wait to see what this team can do this coming Monday.

The Tenacious Chase Brooklyn

This club has been ravaged by vacation, injury, work, fat, depression, babies, laziness, age and holidays - yet we persist. Track and Field doesn't have the cache of other sports- yet we press on. Sprinting hurts - yet we persevere.

This week's athletes of the week are Noelle and Theo. They had a tremendous workout and showed me why we keep doing this.

Keep wait to see you guys on Monday!

Just Another Manic Monday

Good Evening CBTC,
For Monday's workout we are going to just about repeat what we did last week. 6x200m with 3 minutes rest between reps. Bring your watches. We are going to base the times for the next month of workouts on the times you run tomorrow. The weather looks good. I look forward to seeing you out there.

Its Hard to Feel the Excitement from the Couch!

The weather wasn't too bad. A tshirt, long sleeve and trash bag made the evening quite nice. But what was better was the tremendous workout we had. It was that first workout where you start to remember why you like this. Why you're out there. Not yet too difficult, but the rhythm and camaraderie made it feel just right. And just right it was. We did 1000m, broken up as 5 200s with 3 minutes rest. For me, 33s was the perfect pace (i couldn't have done a 6th in 33). I started to feel that familiar burn, and I liked it.

Rain or shine, practice is on. 5x2, 35s, 3min rest for the lead group. All comers welcome. The workout will be modified for those that are new to the sport.
